Day 13- Graduation

Today was a wonderful day. Graduation was good. enjoyed every bit of it. Wished it nevered ended.

Had class with Rosemary and it was great. Spent the last session talking about the class control, parent's expectations and activities to make classes interesting. Then Matt came and we had the graduation ceremony.Everybody was hugging everybody. Gonna miss Rosemary. I hope Um will get her to come and teach there.

After graduation we went to restaurant to makan GOOD, GOOD FOOD! it was estimated AUD$40 per person so the 4 of us decided to share and man we had a LOT of food. We had muscles, scallops and squid for starters. Then we had steak, lamb shank and speggetti for main dishes and ice cream and cookies for dessert. It was GOOD i tell you.

After all that, we finally d=finish everything so we decided to go coteslow beach. but because we went down the wrong stop, we ended up at lighteon beach. It was great fun. Took lots of pics and tried digging siput. Thet have a lot of siput but all so small.

Gave the souviners to Fran. She was happy. I hope i left a good impression which i doubt it cause i'm so loud. haha

PCOP: Banks in Australia is very controlled. It takes half an hour to open an account compared to just 3 mins in Malaysia. Gotta love Malaysia sometimes.

Ok ppl. Going to Margaret river tomorrow. after that is road trip all the way up North. Hopefully will reach Ningaloo Reef. If not will see. Anyway the point i trying to make is that because i'll be on a road trip, hence i may not be updating the blog everyday. So sorry. Any pictures that u wanna see can be viewed in facebook.

Ok than, Hope everything goes well throughout the trip. Do pray for safe journey mercies for us driving around everyday. We're new in Australia so trying to get to anf fro back in one piece. yeah? ok. Till then, Ciao.

Day 11-Caversham Wildlife Park

We went to Cavarsham Wildlife Park today. sat on a couch bus and u know what, the bus has seatbelts for every passanger in the bus. It was so weird sitting in the bus with seatbelts on.

We turned into Whiteman Park which was the enterance to the Caversham. On the way we saw the Australian Christmas tree which blooms only at the end of november to the end of December. It has yellow flowers on it and it was beautiful. We than went to the wildlife park.

In the park was all the animals that i never dreamed i would touch and feed.We had a tour and our guides name is Chris. I fed the Kangaroos and man they just love me. I'm like a Kangaroo whisperer. haha. I just extend my hand and 3 kangaroos just come to me while when other people tried to feed them, they don' even bother. haha. I guess God's child gets better treatment after all. haha. I than took pictures a Wombat, a wallabee and the Kuolas. They are all so cute. We left at 3.10pm as the bus driver needed to drop us off so we wnet back. short trip. Wished i had more time.

We went to the city to get to the I-centers to get info on our last week trip to Coral Bay and things are looking up. If all things come as planed. Its gonna be a good trip. One can only hope. hehe

I walked the dog later after dinner and went up all the way to Mosman Park Bowling Centre and man it had the most beautiful view! it overlooked the Swan River and the marina and the view was breath taking. the breeze was cold and always blowing and it felt like being on top of the world. Defnately a nice place to relax when stressed.

PCOP: The people in the I centre are very helpful but some are super optimistic and some passimistic. They saw stuff that makes u happy then other guys brings us back to earth. I hope i'm making the right choices and drive up and down the coastal Highway safely. fairly scared as i'm new to the place and i'm driving. God PLEASE have mercy on me! The girls are very optimistic about it but i still have my resevations. sigh. Hope it will turn out well and we'll all have fun.

Thats all i can say so far now. If anything else happens, it'll be tomorrows news than. take care now. Ciao!

Day 10-Osyters!

Sorry guys, didn't put in anypost yesterday as was too tired to enter an entry.

After class wanted to have Osyters for tea as was convinced by Shobee and Yeong ru that there was cheap osyters along the way home. So we took the bus down all the way down Sterling Highway and was told that the Osyter Bar was just along the road after my stop at Mosman Park.

So we took the bus all the way pass my place and still no bar. we thought we missed it so we went all the way up again to UWA again. Since there was none along the way up, we decided to go all the way to Fremantle to see if its along the way. By that time Stephen and I was hungry as we had a sandwich to share for lunch. In the end, we reach Fremantle Railway Station and still no osyters. So hungry that we decided to go to Cisarellos for them instead. Ordered half dozen of raw osyters and another half dozen of Oysters Kipland and it costed us AUD$28. Thats 3 oysters each that costs us AUD$7 per person. Super expensive wei but what to do, sudah order so makan jah la.

Stephen then insisted that we go makan Nachos a Mexican Kitchen(a Mexican restaurant) where they have Nachos on half price from 6-7pm on Tuesdays. Shobee was reluctant as she tried that before and said not nice. We decided to ditch her as she ordered her garlic bread. the three of us then went and were lost a little while until we found the place. Ordered a Chicken with some sause Nachos which was AUD$24 but because of half price it was only 12 and divided by 3 it was only 4 per person. when the Nachos came, It was HUGE! we shared and turned out, the 1 that i ordered was good. Even Shobee who joined us said good choice.

We then left and walked all the way from Fremantle back to Shobee and Yeong Ru's place at North Fremantle. We crossed the Fremantle bridge and took our own sweet time as we were told that there were dolphins spotted there b4 and we wanted to see 1. We were talking about it and taking pictures when I saw a dolphin swimming just underneath the bridge. I called out and Stephen saw it too. It swam away so fast that only the 2 of us saw it. Shobee and Yeong Ru were so jealous. Haha

Went we reach Bob and Sharon's/Shobee and Yeong Ru's place, sharon had her neighbour were talking on the dinner table. We were told then that Osyter place was actually the other side of fremantle and not in Fremantle and on Tuesdays it had an offer of AUD$12 for a bowl osyters that were more than a dozen. So sakit hati. haha

We then did our research for our trip and now we have lots of problems. There not enough time, money and other stuff. Oh i don;t know how we are going to do it but i just hope it will be fine.

PCOP: The day is so long here, i sometimes feel weird eating dinner at 7pm and the sun is still haven't set yet. I hope it will not be weird next time when i'm back in malaysia.

OK now. Take care. Ciao!

Day 9- King's Park

Missed the 107 bus this morning so had to walk all the way to Sterling Highway to catch the bus to UWA. Classes was GOOD! So informative. It'd been a week now where everytime I come out of class feeling like my brain is squeeshed with information and I've learned so much from Rosemary Allen. She is so good I tell you that She can be the lecturer I want to write my Thesis under if i ever come to UWA to do my Masters.

Offended Stephen today when told him that because he is going abolone catching this coming sunday, we'll have to ditch on Saturday when we go to Swan Valley and Margerat River this Saturday. Hope he'll be ok.

Went to King's Park for excertion today. Had a Aboragine Heritage Tour. Learned so much about the Aboroginese and their culture from a real decendent of an Aboroginese. Showed us a few of their artifacts and the plants they use for medicine and other usage like glue. They are so good.

After the tour, went to the Botanic Cafe and had pizza. It was so good. Now thats what a real pizza should taste like, not the crappy ones we get back home. With proper mozenrella cheese with olives and pepperoni and all the toppings. Talked with Shobee and Yeong Ru a lot of stuff. i think we're actually getting closer. hehe.

Reached home with no one at the door to great me as usual. Ate the dinner that was on the pan with watching tv. I think I should pay Richie Koko a visit before i go backpacking. It'll be good just to see him. Don't know what i'll talk to him about but i should manage. finger's crossed.hehe

PCOP: Love the Parks here. They have huge parks and the weather ios just so nice to walk in. The cool breeze just constantly blowing is just so cooling to your face. It sucks the moisture out of u but still, its nice.

Ok. Thats it for today. Ciao!

Day 8-Shopping

I'm broke. Shopping like mad. I don't think I brought enough money now.

Went to Shobee and Yeong Ru's today in the rain. Was wet, cold, hungry and miserable. Luckily when i was in their house. I was fed with toast with butter and chocolate and tea. was happier then. Bob and Sharon are WONDERFUL!We went shopping in the Fremantle market and i bought meself a Kangaroo leather hat! kinda price but what the heck!haha

Went to Little Creatures and had the ale. It was good. The pizza there's not. Didn't like the salad leaves they put on. Later went to Perth City and bought Rose Cheh Cheh's wallet and after a super long time running between Myer and Hay Street, I found out that all i neeeded was to buy a AUD$50 gift card. so mad for wasting my time but i'm happy. I manage to do something for Dad.

Went shopping in Harbour Town later. Ran all the way from the train station as I only had 45mins to do that. Found a shop that sold jeans for only AUD$5. bought 1 for meself and 1 more pants for sis. Bought sunnies as well for only 15. Super happy.Went back to get Shobee and then wanted to go to Coteslow beach. was asked to have dinner and dinner was HEAVENLY. There was chicken and pork chop and baked potatoes and veal with breadcrumbs and baked mushroom with cheese and a whole lots more. Then there was dessert. There was fruits-nactarienes, mangoes, pineapples and strawberries and others. There was ice cream and whip cream and fruitcake and pudding. It was HEAVENLY! I ate and ate and ate and was too high with food. All the good food is LOVELY! I can't believe they eat this everyday! now i'm super jealous and wanna go back. I got an open invitation! YEEPEE!

Was suppose to go then but Shobee and Yeong Ru didn't want to. They didn't evan wanted to go for Mojos. Now i feel bad. Like I went there to eat like that. Oh well. Whats done is done.

PCOP: peoople there are so loving. Makes u wanna grow old here. You see the old couples holding hands while walking down the street or an old lady pushing her husband who is on a wheelchair. The weather, the people oh so lovely.Would i ever get that next time? I don't wanna be single for the rest of my life...hmmm...

Going to bed now. Need all the sleep i can get to stay fresh tomorrow. Lots of stuff to learn. I can't believe i'm actually keen on going to class but Rosemary's classes are just so informative.ok. Gotta go. ciao...

Day 7- A lot of WALKING

Woke up early this morning and prepared lunch to go to Rottnest Island. Reached Swan Hotel but didn't see Shobee and Yeong Ru so I walked to their house which was only 3 minitues walk away. Met Bob and Sharon and they are NICE PEOPLE! Ate like crazy for breakfast. Everything was so Yummy! Left for Freo(Fremantle) to meet up with Stephen and go to Rottnest. The ferry ride was good. Saw whales on the way so the trip covered whale-watching as well. Loved that!

Reached the island and man it was beautiful! With beaches, Blue,BLUE sea. Saw the Quakka and it was so cute. Did star jumps with the gang before leaving. Should go There when we can afford to spend the whole day there.came back on the 2.30pm ferry. Went shopping at The Shed and met this Singaporean Aunty who sold us factory price souviniors cause we are students. so happy. She ask for my penang number so when she come Penang they want me to be their tour-guide wor. whatever la.

Went to Harbour town but it was near closing time. So disappointed. will go again tomorrow to look for great bargains.Went to NorthBridge but its not as happening as last nite. Saw a woman with a shash tha read "bride-to-be" and she was holding a huge blow-up penis randomly asking people to sign on the penis by the roadside. so funny.

Took the train back home with the gang. on the train saw some uni students who just finish their exams go nuts, a group of dudess were hitting on another group of girls from one end to another in the train. They then horse around, carrying people, wresselling and laughing. All the nonsense. wanted to walked the girls home but they told me to go back as it was too dangerous to walk back alone but they have each other for company. So i walked all the way back and reached at 11.20pm.

Reached the door and found that I was locked out. Called Fran and luckily they have a spare key just outside of the house hidden somewhere. Thank God!

PCOP: Perth is so dead sleepy town wei. At 9.30pm i was at the bus depot and it has only lest then 15 people there, including the traffic officer and us. What the heck wei! Its like 1/2AM in Malaysia like that. crazy wei.

Thats all for today. Very tired liao. kaki rasa hendak nak patah.Ciao

Day 6-Fremantle and Dinner

Today was a such a good day! After class went jalaning around a lot of places!

Met up Soon Theam today during lunch time. Spent the whole afternoon talking and guess who to turn up but Kay Shen! Oh man! all my long lost buddies are in UWA! Y on earth am i doing in UM wei? talked about all sorts the whole hour till 1pm. They then suggested a dinner at Perth City at 6pm. Agreed on meeting at the Trinty College that just next to UWA and I left for Fremantle with the rest of the group.

Took the bus till all the way to Fremantle. Talked to Dr Juliana all the way about the 'happenings'that were happening to the gang. As we didn't want the whole world to know, we switch and spoke in BM. That was the 1st time i felt BM being so useful. Haha. There was this weird man singing with a earphone on and we were all scared as we thaought he was NUTS!

We reached Fremantle and walked to the 1st Fremantle Prison. It was by the seaside and IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! The sea was crystal blue and the breeze was so nice! Took pictures like mad till Jemma(our guide) had to tell us to move along. We then went to the Maritime Muzium but nothing interesting there. But I found out that it was actually the Dutch who first discovered Australia but it was the British who first had a colony there. After that went to the very famous Fish and Chips spot Cicerellos. Man their portions were huge! Shobee and I shared 1 packet while Yeong Ru and Stephen shared the other. Still we couldn't finish but Stephen could and even took Dr J's share. haha

After makan was shopping time! Went shopping for cute stuff. hehe. manage to buy a Kangaroo leather belt for Rose Cheh Cheh for only AUD$55. bought 1 for myself too. Heard that its usually around AUD$80 so i'm happy. So all i need now is the wallet. The fresh foods here are great. Strawberries here are HUGE!

Went to the bus depot and couldn;t find the bus. When I found it it just went off. So had to call Soon Theam and let him know i was gonna be late. He suggested talking the train so i took it. reached faster them him and Kay Shen somemore. haha

Had dinner at KIM CHEE house, A korean Restaurant in Chinatown which is just super close to NorthBridge. Got to see NorthBridge. hehe. Soon Theam then lent me his SRcard for me to use till i come back to Penang to return to him. So Nice. I now dun fear taking public transport anymore! Its gonna be cheap now cause he's is on students price. Best of all, I dun even have 2 reload. Its auto reload. haha. THANK YOU SOON THEAM!!!!!!!!

Ran round Myer, David Jones and Carillon looking for an Apple shop to update my Ipod. Was told to update it online. Later found ou from dad that he wants to open and ITune account, not update software. Will try again dad!

Took the train back and walked in the dark all the way back. Now i know y the people shiver when they walk down the road in the nite. Its quite cold. Its like walking in a natural air-con.

PCAP: Why didn't I come over to UWA and went with UM? Should have come here to study. It would have been so much fun. still need time to get adjusted.

Going to Rottnest Island tomorrow WOOHOO!!! Meeting place, SWAN Hotel. More stories tomorrow. tata loves....

Day 5

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Glad to know that I'm writing not just for myself but for an audience as well. HAHA. So the attention seeker! haha

Today was a GOOD day! Woke up fresh and early. I really think its the jetlag. Had toast and went to class straight. Bath in the morning for the 1st time in Perth. Think I'll do that more often cause its really refreshing and nice. Checked my mail and facebook before going to class. The weather outside is SO FRICKING NICE! Its warm when u feel the sun on u but with the breeze blowing at around 13-25'c, its just so nice. U don't sweat, u are cold but nice cold. I don't really know how to discribe it. U get the picture(Ask more if u don't)

Had class and it was good. We talked about how to give an academic presentation. Ways to overcome anxiety and the fear of giving public speaches. Talked about pronounciation and even went into phonetics. Pity the 2nd yr cause they don't have a clue what was happening cause apparently Fauziah didn't teach them. Thank u Adelina!Later after class, during lunch, we shared food. Yes, Shobee, Stephen, Yeong Ru and I have been sharing food since day one and we use that from the pool money we got from cupcakes n clothes. Hehe. We had sandwiches and pasta and chicken and mutton all in large potions. It was good!Later, We sat on the grass(yes its not weird here to sit on the grass cause everybody else does it:) and planned our weekends. Lots of exciting stuff coming up this weekend! Can't wait!

We then went for class observation. Man the teachers there are superb! So dedicated and passionate about teaching. Thye have an international class of students and they play language games to remember vocabulary. (To Sze Sze and Hui Woon, there was a Korean dude that u both would have be slayed by! Tall, Korean(obviously) and handsome. Tust me, even shobee thinks he is cute:) haha. Met a Chinese student from China and a PHD candidate from Jordon. Felt so small yet have so much power compared to them when i was helping them with their essay. It was a very good to get to teach English to them and learning from them about their major at the same time. Very Cool!

After class, I went to Woolies(supermarket) with Shobee, Yeong Ru and Miao Miao(their homestay sister from Taiwan) Man their chocolates are cheap! 2 kitkats for 3 AUD. 1.29 for a Crunchie, Time Out as well. So cheap(don't convert la yeah) for so good chocolates. Walked across the Fremantle Bridge and took soem pics. Again with the breeze its so nice.

Had Tacos for dinner(again) cause thursday is tacos nite as declared by Jet! haha. after that took Boody(the dog) for a walk along Swan River which is only 2 blocks away. Might venture into the park next time!Watch bones after that with a hot cup of tea! Now i understand y a hot cup of tea is so good in the west. A hot cup just soothes the cold away!

Soon Theam called just now. Will be meeting him up tomorrow. He's flying off tomorrow nite. Didn't know that there are others here as well. Kay Shen  and a few are all here. If i met them it'll be sweet!

Talking to Sze Sze on msn right now as I'm typing this blog. It so fun! Now I know how it feels like 2 be away and on MSN. Sze Sze truly ISTIMEWA! hahaha

Personal comments on perth(PCOP):Good place. easy living but ppl here sleep to early! Absolutely LOVE the weather! Nice walks and well kept lawns and roads. Best of all, the bus are all on time!

That's all for now! TATA

Howdy! I'm here in Perth for 2 days now! yeepee!

Went to the UWA main campus today by bus. Man there buses are on time! 8.05 means 8.05. Luckily its just across the road. Open the main gate and there it is. Went with another Saudi Arabian dude name Awad whose also in the same homestay house i'm in. He's in there for basic english class that are like our primary school level. When he found out i was a TESL student, brought out all his homeowrk for me to go through with him last night. I actually had first hand experiance teaching him and man is his level low! Have to repeat and use EXTREMELY simple sentences for us to understand each other. Another kid that's staying with me is Lenny whose from and island somewhere near Mauritius. He will be taking his IELTS tomorrow. I'm staying with a single mum called Francesca. She has 3 children with 2 out on travel. Her son is 22 anmd her daughter is 26. her  youngest is a girl name Hallie aka Jet whose 14. Very nice people. Had tacos for dinner today. hehe

Had a uni tour. Man they have good architecture. too bad they have exam so cannot go in n c. will do that 2molo if have time. they belanja us makan after the tour. We sapu like crazy the 4 of us. We each took something different and then sapu like crazy, and that was only after 2 hours after lunch! haha. Had a fun 2 hours by Swan River after that. Laid on the grass and cam whored with my friends. haha. The scenery was beautiful! and we saw seagulls and duck swimming on the river. There was even wild parrots and peacocks on campus. so much fun!

Made contact with Richie koko today. Might visit him during backpacking.

My Australian number is ugly rite but cannot choose number one. They give it to u. Would have wanted an better number but what 2 do. Sudah register. Register first, then they'll sms u ur number. So bad rite?

Anyways...got to go. Wanna do and optional assignment. Yes there is such a thing as an optinal assignment. Wanna do, do. Dun wanna do, they are fine with it. Haha. Crazy rite? After all, i've paid for it, might as well fully benefit from it.

Ok, see ya tomorrow! Pictures will be up when I'm using someone elses computer and not my hostparent's! hehe.

From Down Under...Day 1

I'm in Australia~!~

After slogging for like a super long time for this trip I'm finally here.Went to the airport with Yeong Ru this morning. Met up with Shobee and Stephen there. Flight was delayed till 10.30am. Had to wait for super long wei.

It was a 5 hour flight. Did all sorts of stupid stuff with Shobee, Stephen and Yeong Ru aka The gang like chor tai tee, and talked all the way. Bought food on the plane and shared. We're eat like orang tak pernah makan before. Jakun betul! Flew across the desert and they seem to be like a cracking because of the intence heat. The only shadow that can be found was the pathetic small clouds that were found sparingly.

After like for the longest time, we finally reached Perth. Civilization! We went through custom and had to be checked for almost eveything cause Stephen went to toilet and came back to the line late. Apparently that warrents him to be a potential terrorist of some sort and so we were all throughly checked! Scanned, X-rayed, took out all our stuff that needed to be declared like wood and medicine. Felt so violated!

After been given the green light, we came out and lo and behold almost everybody was out d except a few. Met the bus driver who was suppose to pick us up and man did he looked annoyed. Later we found out that he was there at the airport sin 3.30pm! so sorry man.

Met our homestay parent(s). Her name: Ms Francesca M Meehan. 23 Palmerston St, Mosman Park WA 6012 Australia. She has 3 children but 2 are on travel. Met her youngest-Jet. She has 2 other homestay kids with her and plus me is 3. Lenny is from some where Muritius and Awad is from Saudi Arabia. Lenny can still be understood but Awad is bad. Understands mininal english. Had Spagetti for dinner. Apparently then take turns washing dishes. Think tomorrow might be my turn. 1 thing good is she's very chin cai. Can have anything dun care what time. Its there in the kitchen and its free for all.

First impression of Perth: Sleepy town. So few ppl on the street. maybe its because it was sunday. Lets see what tomorrow bring out. Maybe the people would be out by then. haha

Its almost 10 now. Turning in soon. Dun know Y so sleeply.Class starts tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow would be a better day! Ciao..

My Nokia 6500 slide

Meet my new phone! YES! I got meself a NEW PHONE!!!! so exicted NOKIA 6500 SLIDE

Its the one that i've been raving and talking and stalking for almost a year now eversince it came out in the market. It was RM1500++ that time so i tak sampai hati wanna buy. But eversince the inflation that saw my hard earned savings shrinking, i figured my skimp and save and continue to see it shrink and the ability to buy less stuff, so i've decided to enjoy the here and now and just use it before it shrinks further.Hence I got meself the new phone.

It's cool to finally buy something that I've always wanted. I just hope it wouldn't be like my previous Sony Ericson Z530i.

I'm apparently jinx. I found that out from buying pens. If I buy something with my own cash, It'll spoil. Eg: pen will dry up even though there are still ink in the pen. However, if I get someone to buy it for me, then either pay them back or as a gift, it will work just fine and sometimes never spoil. Eg again: My previous old Nokias that was bought by my dad and given to me(including the Nokia before i just changed to this 6500) will never spoil. Even if I were to throw it down from the 5th floor from my Happy Mansion Place (No i didn't do that), it would not spoil. But if I buy it like my to sony ericsons, then mampus, within 2 months, it will either be lost(by my brother) or rosak terus.

So dah lah my old phone wouldn't spoil (because it was paid by my dad). But I wanted to have a camera phone to bring to Australia so that I don't need to bring camera and phone (2 things), I decided to defy all odds and HOPEFULLY, this time, it will be ok.
Anyways....I'm happy with my new phone! Its good. Its cool with 3.2 mp.... so yeah! I'm Happy!!!
Ok, going to pack now! After exam tomorrow, I'm on my way home ...to PENANG!!! Yippee!!! Can't wait to go back to the Pearl of the Orient/Food Paradise!!!

Until then..ciao...

Tension wei! Was so scared that will teach wrong stuff and kena strike down by God in the middle of teaching! Thank You God for your mercy! In the end it went well la. Talked rather fast and almost forgot what my next slide was so kept repeating the central truth:"Run with the ideas God gives me!". But after that, during debrief time, everyone said it was good, for a first timer! Thank God! All glory to Him for being with me (and not strike me down:P)!
